Shalini Divya is pursuing her PhD degree at the Victoria University of Wellington. She will be working on nanomaterials in energy storage devices under the guidance of Professor Thomas Nann (Director, MacDiarmid Institute & Alan MacDiarmid Chair of Chemistry).
She was born and raised in India. Graduated with Honours in Chemistry, from Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi in 2013. She also gained a Master’s in Chemistry from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra. She concluded her Master’s dissertation in May, 2015 with a CGPA of 8.86 and received a degree with distinction.
Her M.Sc. thesis was on synthesis of nano-structured transition metal oxides and their application in super capacitors. She published a journal article on the same topic in JNN, in 2016.
